Tracking Prop 4 on a Realtime Basis

The image features the California Natural Resources Agency logo and text about "Prop 4 Climate Bond."

Trying to follow the implementation of Proposition 4 can be rather a daunting exercise.  The Governor and Legislature has allocated approximately $3.25 billion for the fiscal year 2025-26 which runs through June 30, 2026.  However, the California Natural Resources Agency (CNRA) primarily is working to establish guidelines under the Prop 4 legislation as enacted.  There are several departments that are within CNRA including the Departments of Food and Agriculture (CDFA), Conservation (DOC), Water Resources (DWR) and Forestry & Fire (CalFire).  Also, there is the Wildlife and Conservation Board.

An excellent resource is a webpage landing for Prop 4 that has been set up by the Natural Resources Agency specifically for tracking progress being acheived.  There is also important language within the legislation that states that at least 40% of the Prop 4 funds must benefit Disadvantaged Communities (DACs) and/or Disadvantaged Unincorporated Communities (DUCs) -- as well as funds for Tribal Communities.
