Alexis Valadez

Position: Technical Assistance Provider (TAP) Assistant and NRCS Support

Alexis is working with Tranquillity's TAP Service Team while pursuing his certification, as well as supporting the district's Transformative Climate Communities (TCC) program and other activities.  He lives in the city of San Joaquin on the west side of Fresno County where he grew up.  Alexis is truly committed to the betterment of the underserved farming communities on the westside. 

He holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Industrial Design with an emphasis in Architecture -- as well as earning a Certificate in Applied Sociological Research.  Alexis is currently working on his Masters of Science - Thesis Title: Biochar as an Organic Carbon Reclamation Tools in Agriculture.  His professinal development experience includes the following:

  • Fresno State Science Greenhouse — Assistant Laboratory Technician
  • Fresno State Climate Solutions Team — Restoration Fellow
